acne diet
I have a case of mild acne, and I’ve been taking prescription medicine for it for about nine months now. Nothing has changed. I’ve tried every cream and wash on the market, and nothing seems to really work. So, I decided that I’m going to go three weeks cutting out certain foods to see if that may make a difference in my skin. What foods do I need to cut out, and what foods do I need to limit?

Eat smaller amounts of chocolate a week before your period. Also, try eating less fried foods and more veggies.

It helps me to eat less salt and less prepared food that has a lot of preservatives. I’ve heard other people say cutting out caffiene helped them.

Get rid of fatty greasy foods and stuff that is super sugary. Also make sure youre keeping ur hands OFF ur face. Dont touch it or pick at it at all, it only makes things worse. Have you tried tanning at all? I know its not healthy, but it tends to dry up blemishes. I find that tanning works the best honestly.

nothing.
studies have shown that food doesn’t seem to have a direct link with acne.
you should try Pronexin, though.
i’m ordering it soon and all the reviews online rave about it.

no soda, it helped for my sister.
lots of water.
wash your face with an antibacterial soap and rinse with hot water. keep your hands clean cause if you have sweat and other crap on them it will get into your skin. dont eat much chocolate, eat healthy less greese. also, use baby oil to take makeup off and wash face right after. dont pop your zits, cause it will only spread throughout your face. if you use foundation use a little bit of it cause it has lots of oils in it. dont use bar soaps to wash your face, cause they have germs on them. really, my skin is very pretty cause i use just antibacterial soap and hot water. dont waste money on face creams. also dont wear lots of makeup in the summer its bad for your skin. wash your face everyday, hope i helped. :)

Any greasy foods, like fries, bacon, burgers, chips. All the good stuff.

Drink more water and eat more veggies and lean meats.

First i just want to say that foods such as chocolate and fries don’t contribute to acne. But it doesnt hurt to limit it, because if its all u eat it can (but also might not) cause acne. Drink tons of water (8 glasses a day), it’ll wash out the toxins that make the zits. Lots of people have found that eating some organic produce helped them. You need lots of fruits and veggies because of the vitamins in them, which contibutes to healthy skin. Vitamin E is a neccesary vitamin for clear skin. Maybe find a multi-vitamin specific to you gender and age.

Have u tried Clean&Clear Acne Kit? It’s really good!

Also, why it’s not working could be because u get yourself so worked up about it, it just causes more. Relax and have fun!

Do not squeeze! If u wear make up make sure it is not oily or oil based.

Hope i helped! :D

If it’s been nine months and your skin is still not getting better, I’d go back to your dermatologist and see if there is something else that you can try. Assuming you are a girl, you could always try birth control pills. Most of my breakouts were hormonal. The Pill has done wonders for my acne, but eating a healthier diet has really helped me, too.

Eat a lot of fresh, organic fruits and veggies and limit the amount of processed foods you are eating (this means pretty much anything pre-packaged; about 99% of items in the grocery store). Drink water instead of soda or juice. You can indulge in the occasional small (key word being small) amount of chocolate or other sweets or salty things. The key is to give into your cravings with just small amounts of things instead of completely depriving yourself. If you keep telling yourself no, you will just end up pigging out on a whole package of something unhealthy and then be unhappy with yourself.
