proactiv
I have oily skin and just started using the 5 step proactiv starter kit last week. My face has been really dry and is starting to peel off around the chin area. Ive also had more breakouts and my face has been itchy after i use the whole kit. Should i keep using it?

Give it a little more time to see if it works for you. As for the dryness, only use the lotion on the parts of your skin that has blemishes. I would give it about 2 months before you change to something different. Also, only use it once a day, rather than twice like it suggests.

I have the 3 step system and slightly oily skin, and it starts clearing up immediately and within a few weeks it is like perfectly clear!!! I don’t know about the 5 step system though, never tried it…

Yes, you should keep using proactive. Only use it 2 a week. Some of the kit may burn, itch or breakout, but that means its working. :]

DONT EVER USE THAT PRODUCT BECAUSE IT GOES INTO URE JEANS AND MESSES UP URE CHILD BECAUSE ITS BAD FOR URE FUTURE CHILDREN BECAUSE THEY CAN RUIN THERE FACE AND MAKE THEM RETARDED.

Did not work for me. You have to give it AT LEAST a month and if it doesn’t work by then, you can trash it. This one girl I know who used it said that it made her break out worse when she started using it, but then it started clearing up her skin after awhile and now she has flawless skin. Sounds like your skin is getting really irritated from it though. More irritation = more breakouts. I have sensitive skin too and it made my skin irritated which is why it did not work for me.

OMG.
Nooo Nooo.
That stuff kills your skin lol.
It made my skin ober dryy.

Just go to a dermo, And he will give you something better.
Like I used Clindoxyl and it got rid of my acne,
it shows results in like 2-3 months and does not burn your skin,
just a little red, but its part of the process.
Oh and remeber to also buy a moisturizer :)

it does work, once your face gets used to it, only if your face can handle it, but you do have to do each step exactly as it says, otherwise it doesn’t work that well. you might want to try a less harsh face wash unless your acne is really bad. netrogena’s daily face wash and clearasil’s vanishing cream work amazingly!!

I tried proactiv for about 3 months and it did the same thing and never stopped!

You should try this: It works really well and it’s cheaper than proactiv. Use once or twice a day depending on oilyness. I used to use it twice all the time, but now I only have to use it once. I buy a generic makeup remover to use at night and just use it with warm water.

Also, try this moisturizer:
For the summer time, when my face tends to get really dry, I use the dual action version of that moisturizer in the morning and that one at night. I just use that one (only in the morning unless otherwise needed) the rest of the time.

only use the wash, and toner! and if ur face is still peeling wait for ur face’s natural oils and then just use the wash

I wuld keep using it for a little bit longer, but after 3-5 days if it doesn’t work – stop using it. You might be allergic to it, or your skin doesn’t want/need it.
