proactiv
My 13 year old daughter is in that awkward stage between child and teenager when she breaks out like crazy on her face, chest, and back. We ordered Proactiv and tried it for 2 months before seeing no results whatsoever. We shipped the unused bottles back and got a full refund but were not overly satisfied with the product. Was it successful for you?

I’m just like your daughter. I break out like crazy on my face chest and back during that time of the month and tried Proactiv. It didn’t work for me either.. the mask usually dried my face up a little but it didn’t stop new pimples and zits from forming..so we dumped it and took a visit to the dermatologist..now I’m spot free :D

Not at all. I HATED Proactiv. I did find one that works for me, though: Murad Acne Complex.
If you get the entire kit.. Its Face Wash, Exfoliating Gel, A Pimple Relief Cream, and Lotion.. It works miracles. At least, it did for me. I had terrible pimpls starting in the 3rd grade. When I discovered Murad in 6th grade, within a couple weeks, all my pimples were gone. Now I’m a sophomore, and I’m still pimple-free
=]

If you know what Ulta is [a cosmetic store] you can buy the whole kit there. Beware, it cost me $65.
Well worth the money

I used proactive for about twice as long and never saw results. I had to wake up to my acne filled face every morning. -_- But now, I go to a dermatologist. My face is a million times better. =D I think that may be the right thing to do with your daughter. I’m 15 at the moment and have gone since I’m 14. It may be a bit costly but it works best. =) Sometimes they even have copay depending on yer insirance. Good luck!

i have not tried proactive. however i use clearasil ultra it works really great and is much cheaper than proactive. so my advice would be to buy that try it and if it doesnt work for her than maybe u should try proactive.

I have the worst skin EVER. I used clearasel[sp?]. It’s really good, although you have to keep your skin hydrated.. It’s keeping me clean! :)

I suggest you take her to see a Dermatologist. They can recommend products that will clear her up. I am in my 30s but still have bad hormonal acne breakouts like a teenager. The problem I had with Proativ is that my skin got used to it and it quit working. It’s not a very strong product. You need something stronger than Proactiv. What worked for me is a brand called Cosmedix. The products are very strong yet they hydrate too so you won’t have a mass of oil production from the drying that Proactiv causes.
