acne best product
I’m an Asian late-teen with moderate to severe acne and slight acne scar. What’s the best product (cleanser/gel/cream) for me? I’m talking about the affordable ones that can easily be purchased from the stores, not the expensive ones like Proactiv. Currently, I’m using Johnson’s & Johnson’s Acne Clearing Cleanser. It’s been more than one week and I don’t see any visible result.

i know what you mean..

best product – clean & clear oil-free continuous control acne wash… it works so good…its foam and you scrub it on your face… i had acne on my forhead and it cleared up in like 2 days… i use it everyday… it also helps prevent break outs
about $4

something else that works- this might seem weird but it works… well the main ingrediant in acne medication is in strawberry yogurt, so buy strawberry yogurt and rub it on ur face then wash it off… it seems weird but it really does work.. cheap strawberry yogurts works as good as expensive ance medication

best scrubbing pads- stridex

try using some cover up thats cheap… good luck with your acne!!!

My doctor prescribed me a gel called Clindamyacin. It has worked VERY well. The only time I break out is right before my period and even then it is not too bad. I am 38 and I have had skin trouble since I turned 20!!! This stuff is a blessing.

The other thing that has made a HUGE difference in my skin is blueberries. I saw an Oprah Winfrey show that said they were great for your skin so I started eating them and about 2 months later (eating a small amount every day) my skin started clearing up and looking better. I continued that for about a year until I got sick of them so I stopped eating them. Within a couple of weeks, I was having skin trouble again! So, I have started eating them again and …yep! things are better.

One other thing that always worked well for me was to make sure you use a cleanser AND a toner, if you wear foundation you need to use a make up remover preferrably a foaming face wash then a mild cleanser and toner.

If you can see a dermatologist, it’s best because you’ll get professional advice on your specific acne condition. The dermatologist might then prescribe something for you, which can be really affordable with insurance.

If you can’t see a dermatologist and have to purchase something from a drugstore, the key ingredient you want is benzoyl peroxide, which kills the acne bacteria. Some excellent products which contain benzoyl peroxide:

Neutrogena On-the-Spot Acne Treatment
Clearasil Ultra Acne Treatment Cream
Oxy Balance Sensitive Skin Acne Treatment, Vanishing Formula
Oxy Balance Maximum Acne Treatment, Tinted
Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10, Maximum Strength

Experiment with lower-percentage benzoyl peroxide products first (read the labels) because they’re less irritating to the skin and will cause less redness, burning, dryness, flaking, or peeling.

Cleansers generally don’t work because they’re rinsed off before the active ingredients have time to work on the skin. Leave-in creams or gels work far better.

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:
