Different acne treatments work differently for different people ;-) but I have compiled some info on Proactiv for you, based on reported experience:

Proactiv Negatives
===================

- irritating
- dry out skin
- expensive to keep having it sent to you month after month
- clear face up, but as soon as you stop using it the acne might come back
- it bleaches the cloth…
- doesn’t seem to work as well on blackheads
- skin became darker
- temporarily red in areas
- slight burning sensation when applying toner/repairing lotion

Proactiv Positives
===================

- really does work
- clears your face up pretty quickly
- leaves your face feeling soft
- reduce the appearance of pores

The only thing I can guarantee you is that there is not an absolute best product out there–otherwise it would be the only product out there. Every person may get different results from using the same product. My two suggestions would be don’t waste money on proactive (they’re good at marketing, not so good at skincare), and start with drugstore brands, they are pretty inexpensive and you may find the one you like. I can afford to buy, and have bought in the past, expensive skin care, but I always went back to the three drugstore products I use all the time:

St. Ives Apricot Scrub (blemish control formula) $3-$4
Sea Breeze astringent (for sensitive skin) $2-$3
Wet n’Wild lip pencil (color 666) 99 cents

Give them a try.

We all know how an acne pimple or spot is formed. We are also aware of loads of products to treat these acne pimples. But all these do is treat the symptoms – the preparations have to be continually used to beat back acne.

What is really needed is an acne cure. The following review site offers three of the best acne cures:

Joesoef Anti-Acne Skin Kit.I can only say I’ve tried the one for oily skin,but it does work.I suffered from severe acne from the time I was twelve(six years ago),and I used almost everything in stores for acne,several Rx medications that ultimatly failed,and I also tried Proactive and Murad,both with no results.

Joesoef is the only thing that has helped me after six years.Although it doesn’t help with acne scars(I’m still looking for a cure for those.)
